Please read these terms carefully before using our App

Welcome to Dots & Boxes. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Dots & Boxes mobile application ("App") operated by Sharma Tech Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian and agree to these Terms on their behalf.

2. Gameplay

Game Rules

Dots & Boxes is a strategy game where players take turns connecting dots on a grid to form boxes. The player who completes a box earns a point and receives an additional turn. The player with the most completed boxes when all lines are drawn wins the match.

Game Modes

  • Multiplayer: Real-time matches against other human players worldwide.
  • AI Mode: Practice matches against computer-controlled opponents at various difficulty levels.
  • Random Match: Quick matchmaking with available players.

Match Integrity

All matches must be played fairly. Disconnecting intentionally to avoid a loss, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized tools to gain an advantage is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension.

3. Rewards and Flames

Earning Flames

Flames are the in-game virtual currency earned by winning matches and completing certain achievements. The number of Flames awarded per match may vary based on game mode, opponent skill level, and ongoing promotions.

Flames Have No Real-World Value

Flames are virtual items with no inherent monetary value outside the App. Flames cannot be transferred, sold, or traded between users except through official App features.

Redeem Policy

  • Flames may be redeemed for real-world value through UPI or PayPal, subject to minimum redemption thresholds displayed in the App.
  • Redemption requests are processed within 3–7 business days, subject to verification.
  • We reserve the right to verify your identity before processing redemptions.
  • Redemption rates and minimum thresholds may change at our discretion with reasonable notice.
  • Flames obtained through cheating, fraud, or exploitation will be forfeited without compensation.
  • Tax obligations arising from redemptions are the sole responsibility of the user.

4. User Conduct

When using the App, you agree NOT to:

  • Use offensive, abusive, harassing, or discriminatory language in chat or usernames
  • Impersonate other players, Sharma Tech Labs staff, or public figures
  • Use cheats, hacks, bots, or any unauthorized third-party software
  • Exploit bugs or glitches for personal gain
  • Create multiple accounts to manipulate rankings or rewards
  • Engage in any form of fraud or deceptive practices
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems
  • Distribute spam, malware, or harmful content through the App
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law

5. Account

Account Creation

You must create an account using Google Sign-In to access full App features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.

Account Information

You agree to provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date. You may not use false identities or misleading usernames.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Any unredeemed Flames at the time of account deletion may be forfeited.

6. Fair Play

We are committed to maintaining a fair gaming environment for all players. Our fair play policy includes:

  • Automated and manual monitoring for cheating and suspicious activity
  • Skill-based matchmaking to ensure balanced matches
  • Regular audits of leaderboard rankings and reward transactions
  • Zero tolerance for collusion between players to manipulate outcomes

Players found violating fair play rules may face warnings, temporary suspensions, permanent bans, and forfeiture of Flames and rewards.

7. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms or our fair play policies
  • Fraudulent activity or abuse of the rewards system
  • Repeated reports of inappropriate conduct
  • Extended periods of inactivity
  • Any reason we deem necessary to protect the App and its community

Upon suspension or termination, you lose access to your account, Flames balance, and any pending redemptions. We are not liable for any losses resulting from account suspension or termination due to Terms violations.

8. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

All content in the App — including but not limited to graphics, logos, icons, game mechanics, software code, audio, text, and design — is the property of Sharma Tech Labs or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Restrictions

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.

9. In-App Purchases

If the App offers in-app purchases in the future, all purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Google Play Store policies. Prices are subject to change without notice.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHARMA TECH LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR FLAMES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sharma Tech Labs, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
